Once a group of frogs was passing through a forest. It so happened that mistakenly two of the frogs fell into a pit. Both the frogs tried to jump out of the pit but they couldn't. All other frogs surrounded the pit and began to watch both of them struggling. They two made several attempts but in vain. It looked almost impossible for them to get out of the pit.
"Why do you want to hurt your limbs and die a painful death?" they shouted from the top after observing that the pit was deep. "You can never get out of the pit. It's worthless since the pit is very deep. Better you two wait for your silent death!"
The frogs in the pit didn't pay any attention to them and kept on trying. They didn't lose hope and jumped again and again to come out.
"Oh friends!" shouted the frogs from the top of the pit, "Why don't you give up when you know you can never come out? Your death is sure. There is no hope left for you two."
One of the two frogs took heed of their negative words and was discouraged. He gave up falling down to his death. The other frog didn't lose his hope. With all his strength he made attempts even harder and at last he reached the top. He was so much delighted.

"Didn't you hear us?" asked the group members.
"I was deaf to your words since I have hearing problem." said the frog. "I thought you were encouraging us."
Lesson:-
Never pay attention to negative people. If you really want to achieve your goal turn deaf to the words of such people. Words have great influence on us.
